La Huella del Pintor, vol. II, a book by editor Pablo Henríquez, coordinated by Marcia Clark and Alejandra Cigarroa, brings together 30 non-engraving artists from the Biobío Region. Each participant, using the Punta Seca technique, engraved a copper plate.


La Punta Seca, the first metal engraving, prior to serialization, prior to the standard, brought together masters and newcomers.

To have a picture of the world, here is a panorama; not necessarily a balance. Thematic differences, plastic differences, formative differences, generational differences, build the Painter's Footprint, an instant in time. Today, in the year 2022, we know that these prints exist, and that they are a sample of contemporary collective thought in the Region.

There is no main current here, nor a unitary thought, but from here, from the Painter's Footprint, critical thought can be elaborated. Because the book assumes the existence of more than five hundred prints, that if they were a thousand more of the 30 plates, they would be instants again, sums of temperature and humidity, of personalities that cross and diverge for the construction of the present. In a way, this is what is happening.
