El Huemul Educational Center is located in the middle of the native forest, within the World Biosphere Reserve "Nevados de Chillán - Laguna del Laja Biological Corridor".
Its methodology is based on the fundamentals of Bosque Escuela where the educational program is developed mainly outdoors, aiming to achieve the educational objectives through the exploration and knowledge of the natural environment.
Open to incorporate other methodologies that contribute to the children's educational process, we currently use tools, strategies and rituals from other methodologies such as Waldorf and Pedagogy 3000 that are aligned with our Educational Seal.
This is a multi-grade educational project, which currently serves children from 3 to 12 years of age.
The pedagogical proposal of this educational center is based on the idea that children are the protagonists of their learning process, respecting their rhythms, interests, enhancing their capabilities through continuous observation and accompaniment of educators. With the interest that children develop deep, authentic learning that allows them to develop skills for the XXI Century; the development of learning by competencies is promoted in these programs, through coherent experiences aligned with the respective educational seal and with the curricular progressions of the Ministry of Education of Chile, allowing them to opt for the standard evaluation of the free exams.
