Great news for the art scene in Concepción!

The artist and visual producer, Sofía Bernasconi, was a finalist in the "MAVI UC Larraín Vial Young Art Award" competition in its 2023 edition, securing the opportunity to participate in the collective exhibition with her work "También somos una cortina de cordeles" at the museum.

In its sixteenth edition, this competition aims to celebrate artistic creation by focusing on the strength of Chile's regions. Contributing to the national artistic context, it rewards the creativity and innovation of new generations. Sofía is the sole representative of the Biobío Region and was selected among more than 250 applicants from twelve regions across the country.

The exhibition consists of a video installation that reflects on the body-technology condition, presenting corporeality as a hybrid, volatile, and tensioned framework.
